National Fruit Show 2011
Agri-tech stand - National Fruit Show 2011
Agri-tech made its debut appearance at the National Fruit Show in October 2011. The Company was largely present to promote the concept of GPS soil sampling in the top fruit and vines sector. Until recently there has not been the equipment to apply fertiliiser variably down a crop row, however all that has changed. Since KRM introduced its small orchard spreader, with the same Bogballe controller that its larger arable machines use, variably applying fertiliser in the crop row is now quite achievable.
From its ten plus years offering Precision Nutrient managenet in the arable sector Agri-tech is well placed to introduce this concept into the fruit. Agri-tech can offer the grower the complete package which includes the sampling, analysis of the soil, and supplying variable rate application maps for most GPS systems on the market today.

LAMMA 2012
LAMMA 2012 provided the opportunity to showcase the latest in weather station offerings including the new remote GPRS raingauge / weather monitoring equipment. The most popular model amongst the cereal sector remains the new Vantage Vue. With change from £300 it offers unrivalled accurracy in a prefessional weather station and provides weather data that is becoming essentail for both record keeping and decision making.
The new remote GPRS rain data system also generated considerable interest particularly for those with blocks of ground spread over an area. Rainfall can vary tremendously over quite small areas - and the ability to have live data being sent to a phone app 24/7 appealed.
