The Beginning
Agri-Tech Services was founded in 1992 by Simon Turner. Having left Shuttleworth College in 1984, Simon spent eight years growing and latterly managing a cereal / veg farm. It became obvious through his growing experiences that a more scientific approach was needed to planning irrigation needs of growing crops. Moreover a better understanding of the whole growing environment would be beneficial. It was decided to start with water in 92. Soon after it became clear that as Simon originally thought, to progress further we needed to have a better understanding of the complete environment surrounding a growing crop. Today the company provides advice and equipment to growers, industry, leisure, and hobbyists alike to monitor the world around them.

The Team

Simon Turner - Partner and General Manager
Founder of the business in 1992 - Simon started the business with a handful of growers spread from Yorkshire to Bedfordshire. Still consults today as well providing the inspiration and motivation to push the business on in to new ground








Anne Turner - Partner (and wife) to Simon responsible for keeping Simon on the straight and narrow ! Assists with co-ordination of sales both at home and abroad







Michael Parrish - Field Operations Manager. Michael joined the business in 1998. Now co-responsible for organising and co-ordinating all field operations. Michael's practical and hands-on approach has been an invaluable asset to the business and has made him a key member of the team







Emma Parrish - Administration and Business Development. Emma joined the company in April 2003. Emma is generally the first point of contact with customers both existing and new alike. Emma handles all administration and is instrumental in the co-ordination of sales and support as well as assisting with new business development within Agri-Tech.





Hamish Wilkie - Manager Agri-Tech Scotland. Hamish joined us  in 2000 working for our sister company in South Africa before deciding he preferred the Scottish weather!! Hamish has run the Scottish operation since 2001, both companies partnerships between Agri-Tech Services and A.P.Hill Fruit. In the "off-season" Hamish returns to the family farm in South Africa. Hamish is a farmer and understands "growing".
